Review 18: Young Lady's Guide : To the Harmonious Development of Christian Character (Harvey Newcomb)

Awesome! This book is practical and sound. It avoids the errors of many modern books, which either confine virtue to impossible-to-do's, or else pass on false teaching. It is so practical, and yet there is an easy-ness to the counsel, a joyful beauty in the admonitions. It presents virtue as virtuous. Also, this book was the first I'd ever read which helped me think critically about romanticism and romantic novels. For that, I owe it an eternal debt.
